Is China leaving behind the United States to become the technology superpower? That is the main question in the perspective of the current situation of the world. After the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, the United States has emerged as the world’s superpower.

China has developed its country with a target to become the superpower through years of continuous process and strategy. There has been a competition between China and the United States for becoming the world’s dominating superpower and China has especially focused on technology for that. China has developed its field of technology with big data, robotics, face and voice recognition and especially Artificial Intelligence.

Companies like Apple Computer, American Tourister, Adidas, Amway Corporation, Colorado Spectrum, General Motors, Toyota, Volkswagen etc. are running their factories and research centres in China. China is investing a lot of money in this area and is also trying to pressure foreign companies to transfer technology directly and indirectly. The Chinese government set a 10-year vision with a target to make China vigorous in the field of industry and technology according to the strategy taken in the year 2015. China also buys foreign companies under its strategy; to enter into the Chinese market, a foreign company has to tie up with a local company in China.

There are many laws in China which compel the technology companies to remain for a long time there. As in the case of Apple Computer, we see that Apple is going to start its first data storage centre with a local company in China. Apple has to follow the new rules of the government of China for doing business there. Naturally, all the important information related to the company will be transferred to the Chinese government.

China is also incorporating artificial intelligence in its military. Through artificial intelligence, war can be controlled by sitting at a distant place. They are developing missiles with artificial intelligence that can detect targets and attack them without the help of human being. China has been in process to develop software which can make decisions on the battlefield quickly and accurately.

There are many companies working on artificial intelligence at Shenzhen. Many companies in China are working to develop the healthcare sector also. China has made its own aircraft and bullet train with a speed of 400 kmph also. The current president of China has the vision to make it a cyber superpower.

China is leaving behind the United States in the area of drone technology. The United States has already refused to share its drone technology to the other countries in the world. On the other hand, China announced that it would export its drone technology to other countries of the world which are not closer to the United States.

China is quite successful in its strategy in the area of drone technology. It has appeared as a main supplier of drones worldwide and has taken control of the export of drone technology. According to some survey reports, China has sold their drones to Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Burma.

According to the experts of Economics, China has done huge development than any other countries in the world in the last two decades. They developed 43 GW capacitive nuclear plant and uplifted their position in the world after the US and France.

There have been 45 nuclear power reactors functioning in the country, 12 units are under construction with 30 GWe capacity. The concept has been built-up due to air pollution of the coal-utilized power plants.

China has been developed as a self-reliant in nuclear reactor design and construction and with other aspects of the fuel cycle using technology. The country has been continuously adopting western technology and simultaneously improving it by implementing its indigenous process. Their policy is to export nuclear technology and including the heavy components into the supply chain.
