US President alleged earlier that the Chinese video app TikTok has been monitoring the American people. They tried to steal information of the American citizens. He fired again that he did not like it absolutely and also Tiktok’s deal with the American company. He made it clear that he could not accept the Oracle-Tiktok deal before looking into every aspect of it.
In fact, Microsoft’s offer to buy ownership of TikTok was ahead of the rest. But, the Wall Street Journal reported that Microsoft had backed out of the auction last Sunday. On the contrary, Oracle’s offer has been liked by ByteDance. So, with the approval of the US government, the owner of Tiktok wants to make the contract with Oracle.
According to White House sources, Trump did not like Tiktok’s deal with Oracle. He asserted that the deal of TikTok is not acceptable in America as they interfered in national security. Who can guarantee that they will not try to steal the confidential information of the US government by utilizing the opportunity? Trump said he would look into every aspect of the deal himself, after which the next decision would be made.
The owner of TikTok is ByteDance. Its headquarter is in Southern California. Trump has said that TikTok monitors all the confidential information, business, trade and information technology of US residents. He claims that TikTok already knows all about users in the United States, including location data, browsing and search history. They also handed over personal and confidential documents to the Chinese Communist Party. Trump has even accused TikTok of influencing the presidential election in the United States.

The fight for digital space in America has been continuing between several tech giants for a long time. Even Microsoft was ahead in that race. Donald Trump was in favour of Microsoft in giving ownership of the TikTok.
Recently, the tech giants like Facebook, Apple, Amazon and Google had to face embarrassing questions on their dominance in the market by the US Law department. If the deal is approved, Oracle will be responsible for managing and maintaining the database of TikTok in the United States. The matter of concern for Donald Trump is how effective this Oracle-Tiktok deal will be at the end.
The stance that Donald Trump has taken to ban the Chinese apps or transferring its operations to an American company is something complex to resolve the political disagreement between the two countries. In his opinion, the US government had been waiting for a possibility to accept payment as part of transaction. He also opposed the concept that ByteDance would retain the majority stake in TikTok’s operations in the US. Rather, he wanted that Oracle could gain the majority stake.
