The report is made by a creative agency of the UK and a social media firm in Canada. The extensive popularity on social media and engagement of the people in the Philippines have been observed for a consecutive five years. That is the reason, the Philippines is called the ‘Social Media Capital of the World’.

The report says that the people of the Philippines usually spend 4 hours a day on the internet – especially on social media websites like Facebook, Instagram and different other platforms. It indicates that Filipinos and Filipinas are very much fond of chatting with their friends or sharing of their feeds, photos, videos, memories and various links in the social media platforms.

There are at least 76 million people in the Philippines who use social media platforms. Most likely the engagement is almost 70% of the total population. This trend has become an option for Filipinos and Filipinas in promoting brands with digital marketing activities.
