The Russia-Ukraine war has passed 23 days so far. US President Joe Biden has discussed with Chinese President Xi Jinping regarding the Russian attack on Ukraine and sanctions on Russia. The discussion was held via video conferencing. Simultaneously Joe Biden has also warned Russia to face terrible consequences if it receives any kind of aid from China.

Biden repeatedly said that US policy on Taiwan has not changed and will continue in the future to resist any unilateral change in the current war situation. The two leaders of the US and China also concurred on the importance of maintaining communication channels between the US and China.

According to a Chinese news agency Xi Jinping realizes that being the leaders of the two major countries (i.e. China and America), they need to think about the present global crisis. They will have to consider global sustainability, lives, and the jobs of millions of people.

Russian President Putin made his first appearance on Friday since the Russian attack on Ukraine. He addressed nearly 200,000 people at the Luzhniki stadium, which is the largest stadium in Moscow. He told that the Russian people had not seen such unity for a long time. The stadium was full of posters with slogans written like ‘For a Nazi-free world’. There were also a large number of Russian flags in their hands.

Meanwhile, the power lines have been restored at Europe’s largest power plant in Zaporizhia of Ukraine. The Russian army operated an airstrike near this plant and captured it two weeks ago. Among the five power lines of the power plant, three were cut during the Russian aggression. According to a media report, one of the damaged lines has been repaired. Biden warns Jinping to alert China from any involvement with Russia.

Italy is prepared to give asylum for 1.75 lakh people in their country who have been displaced from Ukraine. Since the Russian attack on February 24, 53,600 Ukrainians, including 27,000 women and 21,600 children, have fled to Italy.
